EngineeringUK announces strategic partnership with AFBE-UK's flagship National Conference

The Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers (AFBE-UK)'s National Conference takes place on 23 April at the Queen Elizabeth II conference centre in London. EngineeringUK is proud to announce its strategic partnership with the conference, which this year will be specifically looking at embedding inclusion in the engineering sector, with human centric solutions being at the forefront of of discussion.

AFBELive is AFBE-UK’s annual event dedicated to promoting ethnic inclusion in engineering. This year’s conference is hosted by TV presenter and diversity advocate, June Sarpong, alongside innovator Juliana Moats. The day will feature a variety of talks and insightful panel discussions as well as recruitment opportunities and ends with a celebratory dinner with live music.

Speakers throughout the day will include bestselling author of The Anti-Racist Organization: Dismantling Systemic Racism in the Workplace Sheeren Daniels, award-winning business psychologist Lee Chambers, Future of London CEO Nicola Mathers, president of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications Nira Chamberlain, data expert and advocate Edafe Onerhime, with BAFTA winning historian Professor David Olusoga joining to speak at the dinner.
