Biography

Nigel is Chief Executive of the IET and was previously with Experian where he was Managing Director for EMEA and Asia Pacific. He joined Experian in 1999 as Director and Chief Operating Officer EMEA and Latin America and was appointed Global Operating Board Director in 2003. Nigel spent his early career with John Laing and International Paint latterly as the European Strategy and Business Development Director. He joined Andersen Consulting (Accenture) in 1994 where he was Associate Partner and Managing Director for an Andersen Consulting and Thames Water partnership.

Nigel graduated from UMIST in 1978 with a BSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering. He is a Chartered Engineer and also holds an MBA from the London Business School. Nigel has a wealth of commercial board level experience and a track record of success delivering significant change in competitive global markets.
