The Professional Panel
The Professional Panel makes up one third of the EngineeringUK governance structure with the Business and Industry Panel and the Education and Skills Panel.
Its purpose is to advise us on issues relevant to the development of the Profession in order to inform our activities and to recommend appropriate actions. It also exists to provide the Institutions with a forum in which to debate and implement matters of common interest and benefit to the Profession and society.
Chairman and Vice Chairman
Currently the position of Chair is held by David Brown, Chief Executive of the Institution of Chemical Engineers, and the position of Vice-Chair is held by Louise Kingham, Chief Executive of the Energy Institute.
The Chair and Vice-Chair of the panel, who were elected at a plenary session, normally serve for three years. The Chair and Vice-Chair also sit as nominated College A representatives on the EngineeringUK Board.
