Anglo American

Anglo American is one of the world’s largest mining companies. Our portfolio of high-quality mining assets and natural resources spans bulk commodities – iron ore and manganese, metallurgical coal and thermal coal, base metals – copper and nickel, and precious metals and minerals – in which it is a global leader in both platinum and diamonds. We operate in Africa, Europe, South and North America, Australia and Asia.

Which areas will you be focusing your recruitment on over the next five years?

The main engineering roles in Anglo American are for operational engineers, maintaining mining and mineral processing facilities. This includes ongoing facility development. The qualification requirements here are for heavy electrical and mechanical engineering. There are also specialist engineering roles for control and instrumentation, industrial engineering (operations management) and structural engineers.

Chemical engineers undertake process control roles responsible for mineral processing plant operation. A broad range of engineers who have all of the skills and qualifications above is also required to participate in the company's permanent project pipeline for project studies through project delivery.
