Malcolm Brinded to chair EngineeringUK

EngineeringUK today announced the appointment of Malcolm Brinded as its new Chair. Malcolm, who takes over from Paul Golby on 1 October 2016 said, “There’s no doubt that EngineeringUK’s mission of inspiring the next generation of engineers is ever more vital for the future of the country. Under the chairmanship of Paul Golby over the past six years, the organisation’s reach and impact has grown and I am very much looking forward to working with the EngineeringUK team and wider community to build on that further.”

Commenting on Malcolm’s appointment, Chief Executive Paul Jackson said “The wealth of experience gained throughout his long career at Shell, together with his passion for inspiring the next generation of engineers means that Malcom’s appointment stands us in good stead to achieve our aim of engaging a million children a year in engineering activity.”
