With the Welsh Assembly and Careers Wales, Tomorrow’s Engineers is running a series of careers days across Wales. These one day FREE programmes will provide opportunities to:
• Obtain useful information on the engineering sector from an EngineeringUK Ambassador, as well as expert information provided on academic routes, qualifications and pathways for pupils into engineering careers at all skill levels (including Learning Pathways and Welsh Baccalaureate Qualifications)
• Gain an insight into the engineering, technological, research & development work of commercial companies
• Learn about the different paths of careers progression undertaken by engineering employees.

Tomorrow’s Engineers STEM Cyrmru encourages young people to study STEM subjects and improve their qualifications, skills and career prospects.
Led by the Engineering Education Scheme in Wales (EESW), the project targets young people aged 12-19 to participate in industry linked technological and engineering activities, including hands on activities, work experience, competitions, events, and career related programmes.

The aim of the North East Automotive Challenge is to pilot a coordinated series of automotive themed activities delivered over a three year period to:
• Encourage targeted schools to adopt activities at Year 7 / 8
• Support learners in their transition from primary to secondary school
• Reengage with Year 10 / 11 pupils to inspire learners to make subject choices that may lead to a career in engineering
• Establish a presence with primary feeder schools to engage learners in Year 3 to 6, supported by Teacher CPD

Tomorrow’s Engineers in Barrow-on-Furness is a curriculum enrichment project, which aims to raise the profile of engineering among young people in the area. Partners involved in this pioneering project include the Royal Academy of Engineering, Barrow Borough Council, Cumbria County Council, Aimhigher, and local businesses.
