Backing Winners: The Changing Face of Manufacturing - July 2009
This paper explores the changing face of manufacturing using as a template the Government’s Ministerial Advisory Group’s five major manufacturing1 ‘dynamics’. It assesses: how the UK is shaping up in relation to each of these trends; how well placed it is to capitalise on them; and the interventions that the Government has initiated in support. It concludes with recommendations on how to support the new face of manufacturing.
