Employer Engagement in Foundation Degrees - November 2007
Foundation Degrees were introduced by the former Department for Education and Skills (DfES) in 2000 to provide graduates with particular skills in which there was a perceived shortage. At their heart, Foundation Degrees integrate academic and work-based learning through close collaboration between employers and programme providers.
