The WISE Awards 2010 are on!

WISE are set to honour companies and individuals who have actively promoted Science, Engineering and Construction to girls and young women.
The awards, to be presented by Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal, the Royal Patron of WISE, are open to women in the early stages of their career, scientists and those working in construction. The winner will be presented with a cheque for £1,000 and an engraved solid silver business card holder.
The awards include the WISE Partnership Award – given to companies who express the WISE vision; the WISE Action Award – awarded to schools who challenge gender stereotypes; the WISE Outreach Award – given to a university with a successful outreach strategy to attract women into physics or engineering; and the Primary Engineer WISE Special Leaders Awards challenge for female pupils to interview female professionals working in science, technology, engineering and maths.
The award ceremony will happen later in the year and the interview stage of the awards will be in October.
