Sounds a good idea!

The Association of Noise Consultants (ANC), as part of their #ExploreAcoustics initiative, is asking acoustics engineers to enter videos to a new challenge to encourage young people into STEM.

The challenge aims to encourage young people to learn more about STEM and career paths in acoustics in a fun and engaging way. Entrants will create videos of around 3 minutes in length and using props which are cheap and easily available for ease of replication at home and at school. The videos should cover a particular aspect of acoustics with an activity which makes it easy to understand.

Paul Shields, ANC Board member said “This is a great opportunity for those in the acoustics community to show what our work means in an engaging and innovative format."

The closing date is Friday, 13 September and the challenge winner will receive the Noise Abatement Society John Connell STEM Award 2019 at a ceremony which will be held at the Palace of Westminster in late October.

For more information on how to enter the challenge please visit the ANC website.
