What I Do

I lead the Business & Industry directorate, which manages relationships with businesses across a wide range of sectors, professional engineering institutions, and sectoral bodies. Working in partnership, we improve STEM outreach provision across the UK, inspiring young people from all backgrounds to consider engineering and technology careers, and supporting them to be part of the future workforce. We won’t see the increase in numbers or diversity of young people entering these careers without strong collaboration, so we share and coordinate insights, best practice, and work jointly to achieve our shared mission. As a member of the executive team, I also contribute to wider organisational development and work with the Board of Trustees to support decision making across the organisation as a whole.

Bio & Background

I joined EngineeringUK in February 2023, inspired by our mission to enable more young people from all backgrounds to be inspired, informed and progress into engineering and technology careers. I have worked in the not-for-profit sector since 2011, in organisations including ActionAid UK, Breast Cancer Now, Marie Curie, JDRF, and The Prince’s Trust. I have held senior roles in national and global relationship management, spanning all areas of high-value fundraising, and have also previously been a Trustee/Director of a local hospice.
