Let's work together

Inspire the next generation of engineers and technologists

The UK is facing a shortage of skilled STEM professionals. Engineering is a critical industry, employing 6.3million people – that's 19% of all jobs. Jobs in engineering and tech are predicted to grow in all UK regions between now and 2030, faster than other occupations. To support our transition to net zero it’s estimated up to 725,000 new jobs are needed. And that’s just one sector. We need to start engaging the next generation into these important jobs.

So, how can you help?

Our UK-wide programmes focus on students aged 10 to 14, when career paths begin to take shape. We work with schools and employers to develop impactful STEM activities. They’re designed to excite and educate young minds, including those from diverse backgrounds currently underrepresented in engineering and tech. But we can’t do it alone. Your organisation can play a vital role – and benefit from a pipeline of talent that supports your needs.

The support provided by EngineeringUK is unparalleled in my experience. Underpinning the relationship is a highly professional, achievement-oriented approach to account management. As well as enabling us to discuss our needs and tap into the broad range of support, expertise and networking facilitation offered by EngineeringUK, our account manager proactively seeks out, considers and delivers upon opportunities to assist us. Additionally, the information that EngineeringUK shares is extremely valuable and delivered in a timely and accessible manner which is of great value to us at the Met Office.
