Who we’re looking for
Our volunteers play a vital role in making The Big Bang Competition a massive success. We are looking for volunteers who are reliable and enjoy supporting and inspiring young people:
- with a STEM background
- an ability to communicate and provide positive feedback for young people
- impartiality and analytical skills to assess the STEM-based projects
Volunteering offers the chance to give back to your profession, while supporting the ambitions of young engineers and scientists of the future.
“It’s giving something back to the profession that I have enjoyed over a number of years. Encouraging young people to take up STEM is an ongoing challenge for our profession, so it is good to be able to feel that you are doing something constructive towards helping that process.”
Our volunteers will need to be able to commit up to 10 hours over 4 weeks, between 14 March to 14 April 2022.
The application closing date is Friday 4 March.
