EngineeringUK Chief Executive Dr Hilary Leevers will be taking part in an online REflect business event on 27 June.

The event, which is delivered in collaboration with RS Grassroots, the education department of RS Components and the Association For Black & Minority Ethnic Engineers (AFBE) and the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), is focused on diversifying the talent pipeline into the engineering industry.

Dr Leevers will be taking part in an expert panel talking about why inclusivity is important in STEM and how it can be best achieved.

REflect 2023 will also include other speakers and representatives from STEM businesses which are eager to help improve the accessibility and attractiveness of these careers to talent from diverse backgrounds. Find out more about the panellists and featured guests on the REflect website.

The 90 minute session will be live on YouTube on 27 June from 2pm and can be accessed here.

National REflect Day

A further hybrid youth event, which is for people aged 16 to 25, can be attended in person in London or online on 1 August, which is also the first National REflect day. It brings together young people from ethnically diverse or lower socio-economic backgrounds which are widely under-represented in the engineering industry, alongside expert and representative role models from the world of STEM as proof that these careers are not closed off for them.

Further details and tickets for this event are available here.
