Carla Cornell will be joining the team this summer
EngineeringUK has announced that Carla Cornwell will be joining as Interim Director of Business Development & Partnerships when Rebecca Everitt takes maternity leave this summer.

Carla has more than 20 years' experience leading programmes, teams, and projects in the not-for-profit sector. Her work has spanned a range of causes – from human rights to, more recently, supporting children and young people – always with a focus on building strong relationships to drive impact through fundraising. Carla is committed to lifelong learning in the areas of equity, diversity, inclusion, and allyship, which continue to shape both her professional roles and volunteer work.
Commenting on Carla’s appointment, EngineeringUK Chief Executive Dr Hilary Leevers said, “I’m delighted that Carla will be joining us while Becky is on maternity leave. Carla brings a wealth of experience of the not-for-profit sector, including in interim roles, most recently at Barnardo's. This, together with her focus on relationship building and commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion, means she’s really well placed to take forward the work of our Business & Industry team over the next year or so.”
