Happy birthday Neon
Today marks 5 years since the launch of Neon, EngineeringUK’s dedicated platform helping primary and secondary school teachers bring STEM to life in the classroom.

Since 29 September 2020, Neon has supported thousands of educators. They've discovered quality-assured engineering and technology activities, inspiring case studies, and free careers resources.
With more than 1,600 registered users, Neon continues to grow as a trusted hub for teachers. The platform helps them boost student engagement and raise aspirations through real-world STEM experiences. From tailored content around bursaries and funding, to curated collections of experiences that align with Gatsby benchmarks, Neon empowers teachers to deliver inclusive, impactful learning.
The Neon team work hard to make sure the platform meets the evolving needs of educators, especially those new to organising engagement activities.
Looking ahead, Neon is focused on deepening its impact. With an emphasis on supporting EDI schools and improving provider engagement, it's set to play a greater role in shaping the future of engineering education.
Thanks to our many supporters, including the Department for Education, STEM Learning, Primary Engineer, and the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Neon has become a cornerstone of engineering outreach in the UK.
Happy 5th birthday, Neon – here’s to many more years of inspiring tomorrow’s engineers!
It's another platform (other than our own website) that aligns us with other trusted industry partners and organisations. It aligns us with EngineeringUK as a trusted partner, and that gives teachers confidence in the products we can provide in school.

Neon is a great platform, I think, for all teachers who want to learn anything with regards to STEM. We're delighted to be on there. I love the fact we have the biology side, but also the engineering side, with our new biomimicry session. It's all on there for people to see. A site to go to, you can see what's on offer, and choose for yourself what you think the kids might enjoy. I think it's a great thing for teachers to have.
