Showcasing progress as we continue to inspire the future workforce
2024/25 was the second year of EngineeringUK’s 5-year strategy to inspire more young people from diverse backgrounds into engineering and technology careers. This mission is vital for sustainability, achieving net zero and driving economic growth.

This year saw major milestones, including the launch of EUK Education, our new online hub for teachers, Careers Leaders and schools, providing resources and funding opportunities.
We also built a gender pathways partnership to tackle the decline in girls’ interest in science and improve representation of women in engineering and tech.
Another highlight was The Code explores…, a new way to discuss topics important to The Tomorrow’s Engineers Code community. It gives the more than 400 members of The Code flexible ways to get insights and resources that strengthen outreach.
We evaluate all our activities and capture feedback from our stakeholders. Our impact continues to grow:
-
78% of our stakeholders see EngineeringUK as effective at providing insight and guidance to stakeholders on evaluating STEM engagement activities
-
76% of Signatories agree that being a member of The Code improved the way their organisation understands how its activities relate to other STEM outreach activities
- 97% of teachers agreed The Big Bang Fair showcased a wide range of engineering and technology careers
Our highlights document also looks forward to 2025/26. We remain committed to sustainability and inclusion, expanding school activities, publishing new research and advocating for STEM education and workforce planning.
We'd like to thank all our supporters, partners, members, funders, volunteers, teachers, careers advisers and students who've worked with us this year.
