Advanced Engineering runs from 29 to 30 October 2025 at the NEC, Birmingham. It together the brightest minds in design, engineering, and manufacturing to solve real-world challenges, accelerate innovation, develop skills, and build a more sustainable future.

Simon Farnfield, director of the event, said ‘By coming together, Advanced Engineering and EngineeringUK are connecting industry leaders, educators and emerging talent to spark innovation, close skills gaps and inspire the next generation to see engineering as a force for positive change across society - this is what it means to be Powering the Possible.’

The organisers have also launched their Unsung heroes of manufacturing initiative. We’re pleased to support this online initiative, recognising individuals making a real impact across the sector. By providing easier access to role models and real-world examples to aspiring engineering talent and industry leaders, Advanced Engineering hope to tackle the current skills deficit. This hub with be hosted on the Advanced Engineering website.

The first wave of nominations and digital profiles for Unsung heroes of manufacturing are set to go live soon, ahead of the event in October.

Advanced Engineering have been a Signatory of The Tomorrow’s Engineers Code since 2024.
