Join us to celebrate the future of engineering and tech
We are excited to announce the theme for this year’s Tomorrow's Engineers Week is Shape our future. This theme will show how the industry tackles real-world challenges young people care about and how a career in STEM can help shape future solutions.

Taking place from 9 to 13 November 2026, the Week aims to inspire young people's perceptions of the engineering and technology industry. It's a great opportunity to bring the community together. The Week will also celebrate the great work the industry is undertaking to help solve these challenges right now.
In 2025 hundreds of companies, professional engineering institutions and individuals came together to celebrate Tomorrow’s Engineers Week. By sharing career stories from across engineering and tech, we offered students a real taste of what it’s like to be an engineer and technician.
This year we’ll be reaching out to the community again for stories, asking engineers to share the solutions they’re developing to real-world challenges. Their stories will help students connect engineering and tech careers to the world around them and inspire them to consider a STEM career. It will also raise awareness of the industry’s importance in our collective future.
Jo Hollingdale, Senior Careers Inspiration Manager at EngineeringUK, commented: “There’s low awareness of the breadth of engineering careers available amongst students. This year’s theme for Tomorrow’s Engineers Week is an opportunity for engineering organisations to really showcase their sector, and how it’s contributing to society.
“Hearing from real engineers always increases engagement amongst young people and raises their aspirations. Last year a record 61,000 young people took part in our activities for schools. We’re really hoping as many schools as possible will participate this year.”
Free resources
Free resources and activities will be available for schools during the Week, encouraging students to bring their creativity to help solve the challenges engineers grapple with. These resources can also be used by engineering and tech organisations in their own outreach. A partner toolkit will be available nearer the time for those interested in supporting the Week via social media and email.
If you’d like to support Tomorrow’s Engineers Week 2026 sign up to our newsletter and be the first to receive the partner toolkit.
