Engineering and tech professionals urged to share experiences of trial and error to inspire next gen
Running from 10 to 14 November 2025, Tomorrow's Engineers Week brings together the engineering and tech community. The week shines a light on inspiring engineers and technicians, shaping young people's perceptions of the industry.
For this year’s theme, Dare to discover, EngineeringUK wants to show young people that engineering and technology is full of exploration and creativity – and that you don’t have to get it right first time.

Dare to get involved
To help bring the theme to life for young people, EngineeringUK is seeking engineers and technicians to share their stories. Can you talk about a project where things haven’t quite gone according to plan? Or have you worked on something that had a different outcome than expected?
It’s also looking for people who haven’t taken a ‘straight’ path into the industry to talk about their career and journey.
These stories – written or video – will be included in resources shared with schools for Tomorrow’s Engineers Week. They'll show young people it’s ok to not get things right first time.
From creative experiments to career paths that have taken unexpected turns, these stories will inspire the next generation to choose a career in engineering and technology.
Why not share your story with future STEM workers? Tell us how you'd like to take part, with a few details about your experience. You could record an introduction video or give us a few bullet points, whatever you fancy.
Reaching young people up and down the UK
Building on last year’s success, when over 55,000 students took part in #TEWeek, EngineeringUK want to engage even more young people aged 11 to 14.
