A brighter future
At EngineeringUK, we’re on a mission to inspire young people from all backgrounds to pursue engineering and technology careers. This will lead to a more diverse and skilled future workforce.
We lead collective efforts through strategic support, impactful research, school outreach, advocacy and policy recommendations.
We partner with like-minded organisations across industry and education and beyond. Together, our work addresses early engagement and skills shortages to build a robust future workforce.

Delivering results
Our community of partners, members and supporters are making strides in expanding STEM engagement and reaching underrepresented groups. But there’s more to do.
With a focus on measurable impact, we support organisations to refine their outreach, expand their reach, and make engineering and technology more accessible to young people. We provide strategic advice to engage diverse audiences and enhance reach into schools.

Help shape the future
To really move the dial, we need many more companies as well as individuals to support STEM outreach activities. We want to reach many more teachers (in primary and secondary schools) as well as careers advisors and leaders with positive messaging about engineering and tech.
We know we can’t achieve that on our own, so we’d love to work with you if you believe in what we’re doing.
Shape the future

Policy recommendations
We collaborate with the government and other bodies to improve pathways into STEM careers. Our research and insight help us advocate for stronger policies to equip the UK with essential engineering skills.
Understanding the needs of industry
Through our research, advocacy work and engagement programmes, we provide insights into the composition of the engineering workforce, highlighting trends by age, gender, ethnicity and regional distribution. We track employment trends, analyse educational pathways, and look at how to address skills shortages by connecting industry needs with STEM inspiration for young people.
This helps inform our strategic recommendations for our partners and for the government.

Supporting you to achieve your goals
We share similar goals with our partners: from corporate social responsibility (CSR) to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) objectives. We understand challenges such as recruitment.
Our approach to partnership is rooted in a deep understanding of your drivers. Through Corporate Membership, for example, we offer strategic expertise – equipping you with resources and opportunities that help you make a meaningful impact.
Promoting pathways into engineering and technology
A successful future workforce relies on accessible and effective career pathways into our industry. We are supporters of all routes in – making sure businesses are knowledgeable and equipped to provide them, and that young people are aware of the opportunities.
We are supporters of T Levels and apprenticeships. We work to break down barriers and increase awareness of the benefits to employers as well as students.

Gender pathways into engineering and technology
We've built a partnership to drive a collective mission to significantly increase the number of girls in education pathways to engineering and technology at age 18. This is set up in response to concerning declines in young girls' interest in science and underrepresentation of women in engineering and tech careers.
Support our work
We don’t charge schools for any of the programmes, resources or services we offer. Financial support helps us develop and deliver programmes to support more schools and reach more young people.

EUK Education
EUK Education brings together everything we do for schools, teachers, careers leaders and young people. From curriculum-linked programmes and engaging resources to motivating case studies and accessible funding, it helps schools access quality STEM careers inspiration for their students.
