Tomorrow’s Engineers Week 2025: Dare to discover

Theme announced for annual celebration of engineering and tech

The theme for the 13th Tomorrow’s Engineers Week has been announced as Dare to discover, showing young people that you don’t have to get it right the first time.

A group of secondary school students sit around a big table with their workbooks and pens. A teacher sits at the head of the table and is talking.

Running from 10 to 14 November, Tomorrow's Engineers Week brings together the engineering and tech community. The week aims to shine a light on inspiring engineers and technicians, shaping young people's perceptions of the industry. Building on last year’s success, which reached more than 55,000 students across the UK, this year's theme, Dare to discover, aims to engage even more young people aged 11 to 14. From experiments that don’t go as planned to career paths that take unexpected turns, the week will demonstrate how trial and error is at the heart of engineering and technology.

Engineers, companies, organisation and professional institutions are invited to get involved to help break down stereotypes, introduce young people to the organisations contributing to the UK's engineering landscape, and support cultivating future talent. A stakeholder toolkit will be available nearer the time.

Teachers can register their interest to take part in the week and get exclusive advance access to resources, videos and hands-on activities.
