What I Do

I am one of our Corporate Membership & Relationships Managers with a particular interest in and focus on the Energy sector. I work in partnership with stakeholders and employers (our Members) who share our passion for exciting, informing, and inspiring young people to choose a rewarding career in engineering.

We collaborate, share good practice, and connect; thus making a greater overall impact on our mission. We are lucky to have such a fantastic opportunity to unlock innovative thinking in our future, diverse workforce as we drive towards meeting net zero targets. Working with my local careers hub and the careers and enterprise company (CEC) I am also a volunteer Enterprise Adviser for Exeter Maths School.

Specialisms:

Collaboration, skills across South West region, Tomorrow's Engineers, The Tomorrow's Engineers Code, partnership working.

Bio & Background

I studied Food Science at Leeds University before joining the production team at United Biscuits, for a ten-year stint in manufacturing. I then spent an equivalent spell working for Investors in People UK, covering the Southwest region, supporting a team of assessors and advisers and auditing employment practices in some amazing organisations.

Directly prior to joining EngineeringUK, I was Head of Operations with the South West Business Council managing a network of 130 employers. I am naturally curious and enjoy meeting people and learning and sharing what organisations do well in the world of stem engagement and outreach.
