What I Do

I am the Head of Engagement Projects. This sees me giving strategic oversight to our in-school programmes which seek to inform and inspire young people to consider a career in engineering through hands on experiences. Not only do we deliver exciting programmes, but we also seek to learn from them to continually improve and evolve what we are doing, sharing our knowledge with the wider community.

Specialisms:

Inspiring the next generation, impactful STEM outreach, evaluation, Energy Quest, Robotics Challenge.

Bio & Background

Before joining EngineeringUK, I delivered conferences for the renewable energy industry around the world, which well prepared me for my first role at EngineeringUK as the event manager for The Big Bang Fair. This was a dream role which enabled me to bring my event management skills to an event which inspires and educates young people about careers in STEM.

My degree is in Spanish and Italian, so it may be a surprise to see me in my current role, however, I have always been passionate about education, I love learning and hope to inspire others to feel the same way. As part of my studies, I spent 2 years volunteering as an English teacher in some of the poorest neighbourhoods in Santiago, Chile, which made a lasting impression on me as to the power that education can have to create brighter futures for young people.
